This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") applies to all use of the Alcony, Inc. ("Alcony") software-as-a-service platform and related services (the "Services") and is incorporated by reference into the Consumer Terms of Service, the Enterprise Terms of Service, and any Master Services Agreement (each, a "governing agreement"). Violation of this AUP is a material breach of the governing agreement and may result in suspension or termination of access.

1. Purpose

This AUP protects the integrity of Alcony's forecasting and decision-support platform, the security and availability of the Services, and the rights of Alcony, its users, and third parties. Because the Services generate probabilistic predictions and aggregate scores rather than guaranteed outcomes, this AUP also exists to keep the Services from being used as a way to launder professional advice through an AI wrapper, and to keep the forecasting mechanics — Aggregate Scores, Calibration Scores, and the External Forecaster Connector marketplace — honest and free of manipulation.

2. General Prohibited Uses

You will not use the Services to:

  • Violate any applicable law or regulation, or infringe any third party's intellectual property, privacy, or other rights;

  • Transmit malware or other harmful code, or engage in phishing, spamming, or denial-of-service activity;

  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Services, other accounts, or related systems or networks;

  • Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Services without Alcony's prior written authorization;

  • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Services, or circumvent usage limits or access controls;

  • Harass, defame, or threaten any person, or generate or distribute unlawful, obscene, or discriminatory content;

  • Misrepresent your identity or affiliation, or impersonate any person or entity; or

  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the underlying AI models, source code, or trade secrets of the Services.

3. Forecasting Integrity and Credit Abuse

You will not:

  • Use scripting, automation, multiple accounts, or any other means to farm free-tier Credits or otherwise circumvent Credit or usage limits;

  • Create or use multiple accounts to evade a suspension, ban, or Credit limit;

  • Coordinate with others, or use multiple accounts under your control, to artificially inflate, deflate, or otherwise manipulate an Aggregate Score or Calibration Score; or

  • Submit predictions in bad faith (for example, predictions you do not hold, entered solely to game an Aggregate Score or Calibration Score).

4. External Forecaster Connector Rules

If you are a subscriber who enables External Forecaster Connectors, or a third-party developer submitting predictions through one, you will not:

  • Submit spam, junk, duplicate, or bad-faith predictions through a Connector;

  • Impersonate another forecaster or misrepresent the source of a submitted prediction;

  • Attempt to manipulate the weighted Aggregate Score through coordinated, automated, or bad-faith Connector submissions;

  • Exceed applicable rate limits, or attempt to circumvent them; or

  • Use Connector access to scrape question content, landscapes, or other subscriber data at scale for any purpose outside the scope of legitimate prediction submission.

5. AI-Specific Restrictions

Where the Services include AI-powered features, you will not:

  • Use AI features to generate content that is illegal, that infringes third-party rights, or that is used to deceive, defraud, or harm others;

  • Attempt to extract, probe, or reverse engineer the underlying models or their training data, or use Outputs to develop a competing model;

  • Submit inputs containing another person's personal data without a lawful basis for doing so; or

  • Use automated means to abuse rate limits on AI features, or resell raw model access obtained through the Services.

6. Content You Upload

Documents and other content you upload are processed and summarized by AI to extract context for your questions. You will not upload content that is illegal, infringes a third party's rights, or discloses another person's or organization's confidential or proprietary information without authorization to do so.

7. No Substitute for Professional Advice

The Services generate probabilistic estimates, not financial, legal, medical, or investment advice, and not guarantees of any outcome. You will not use the Services, or represent Outputs from the Services, as a substitute for advice from a licensed professional where such advice is required, and you will not use the Services to hold yourself out as providing licensed professional advice to others based on Alcony's Outputs.

8. The Kalshi Feature (Not Yet Available)

Alcony intends to offer an optional, separately opt-in feature that lets eligible users place real-money orders on Kalshi directly from Alcony. This Feature is not yet available. Because it will carry real financial and regulatory exposure specific to users who affirmatively opt in, it will be governed by a separate Kalshi Trading Supplement to this AUP (covering matters such as market manipulation, wash trading, and circumventing Kalshi's own eligibility and KYC requirements) rather than by this general AUP. This AUP does not, on its own, authorize or address use of the Kalshi Feature.

9. Account Security Obligations

  • Maintain the confidentiality of your login credentials and promptly notify Alcony of any suspected unauthorized access;

  • If you use the Services on behalf of an organization, ensure that authorized users comply with this AUP; you are responsible for their actions in connection with the Services; and

  • Configure and use the account-security controls made available to you (see the Security Overview for what Alcony currently supports) appropriately for your account or organization.

10. Monitoring and Enforcement

Alcony may, but is not obligated to, monitor use of the Services for compliance with this AUP. Alcony may investigate suspected violations and take action it deems appropriate, including removing content, revoking Credits obtained through abuse, suspending accounts, or terminating access, consistent with the governing agreement.

11. Reporting Violations

To report a suspected violation of this AUP, contact abuse@alcony.io.

12. Changes to this Policy

Alcony may update this AUP from time to time; material changes will be communicated consistent with the applicable governing agreement.
